All EVS tripods use the Sony VCT-50AV remote handle.  It is designed for tripods and enables the operator to have all controlls of the camcorder while also panning and tilting.  This remote/handle design means that only one hand is needed pan, tilt, zoom and record.

The Sony remote has a slow zoom function that will maintain the slowest zoom speed or can be turned off for a faster speed.  The remote face design makes it easy to reach the functions as you need them.
